At Indigo Equine, our goal is to get you in touch with who you truly are and to re-connect you to your own core truths, intuitive wisdom and unique expression. Our mission is to help you rediscover and give voice to your True Creative Self.
Founder of Indigo Equine
My name is Andi Klein-Roane and I am an Epona-Certified, Equine-Facilitated Learning Practitioner with a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology. Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL) involves working directly with horses. As highly sensitive prey animals, horses have developed a keen ability to read many forms of non-verbal communication.
Perhaps because we as humans, have shared such a unique and close relationship with horses over the centuries, they have become particularly adept at reading us! Our breathing, our heart rate, the way we stand or walk, the way we hold ourselves; all these things are cues to the horse that reveal to them who we are. They read past our facades and uncover our true feelings and emotions. In EFL, we partner horses with humans in on-the-ground activities in order to give people the opportunity to get more in touch with their true feelings. This is a very experiential and hands-on approach to learning, but there is a strong Spiritual component to this work, as well, and it is why I wanted to combine these two complementary practices into one, more comprehensive experience.
What is Equine Facilitated Learning?
In Equine-Facilitated-Learning (EFL), we invite horses to participate with us, on the ground, in specifically designed activities. Giving a person the opportunity to work one-on-one with a horse can have transformational and life-changing effects. Partnering with a horse allows us to learn about ourselves by getting us in touch with our feelings and emotional states.
All life is energy. We receive and transmit energy on a constant basis, yet we are often unaware of its effects. Horses, however, are extremely sensitive to energy and they are very adept at reading and responding to it. In this workshop, we will explore this energy, better known as the Chakra system.
This workshop provides an opportunity for individuals to discover, balance, enhance and shift their own energy in ways that promote greater healing, self-awareness and self-empowerment. Join our energy experts, the Indigo herd as they lead us through a journey towards self-discovery about our own energy and the power each one of us holds.
Mindfulness is the art of inward intention. Practicing mindfulness involves focusing attention on one’s own emotions, thoughts and sensations as they occur in the present moment. It entails accepting one’s inner landscape and external environment without judgment. If we can learn to sit long enough for our minds to settle, then we begin to see and understand with greater clarity.
Horses are great practitioners of mindfulness because they embody living in the moment, ever aware of their surroundings and responsive to their inner sensitivity. We invite you to join the Indigo Herd as they partner with us as we explore the practice of mindfulness.
In its simplest form, Self-Empowerment means taking charge of your own life and not giving your power away to others. It seems that if we really want to have dominion over our own lives, we should be making choices and decisions that support such autonomy. This seems fairly obvious, and yet, this is not the way many people live. In fact, it is more common to see people making choices and behaving in ways that actually hinder their ability to experience any sovereignty in their lives. Instead of being their own authority, they give their power away to others and deny themselves the opportunity to make the kinds of choices and decisions that would bring them into alignment with the kind of life they want to live. In this workshop, we will explore what it takes to “take charge of your life.”
